Any candidate wishing to drive a Large Goods Vehicle or Passenger Carrying Vehicle must first obtain a provisional licence from the DVLA. In order to obtain a provisional licence, a medical report will need to be completed by a doctor and the relevant forms completed by the candidate. The forms, along with your ordinary car drivers licence and photographic identity will need to be sent to the DVLA with the relevant fee. This can all be completed at our training centre in one visit as part of our starter package. When you receive your provisional licence from DVLA a theory test can be booked at your local DSA Theory test centre and your driving assessment can be carried out. On successful completion of your theory test and your driving assessment, your driver training program can be booked. If you are upgrading from a C to a C+E licence you will automatically have a C+E provisional licence and will NOT need to take a theory test. All you need is a driving assessment to confirm your training needs. |
